COLLEGE STATION, TEXAS, US — The 31st Annual Practical Short Course on Feeds and Pet Food Extrusion is planned Jan. 31-Feb. 4, 2022, at Texas A&M University, in a hybrid format offering face-to-face and online options.
The one-week practical short course will be presented by staff, industry representatives and consultants. The program will cover such information on different extrusion systems like dry, expander, single and twin and designing new feed mills and selecting conveying, drying, grinding, conditioning and feed mixing equipment.
Other topics to be reviewed include current practices for production of pet foods, preparing full-fat soy meal; recycling byproducts and secondary resources; spraying and coating fats, digests and preservatives; use of encapsulated ingredients and preparation of premixes.
