AMES, IOWA, US — Innvictis Seed Solutions distributed by Simplot Grower Solutions announced on Oct. 11 that it has joined the Iowa Soybean Research Center at Iowa State University as an industry partner. In this role, Innvictis/Simplot will provide financial support to the center and have a representative serving on the ISRC’s industry advisory council, which provides guidance on research funding priorities for the center.
“Innvictis/Simplot is a wonderful addition to our center, and we greatly appreciate their support,” said Greg Tylka, director of the Iowa Soybean Research Center and professor of plant pathology and microbiology at Iowa State. “They will provide a unique perspective to our advisory council as a manufacturer and retailer.”
The center is a formal collaboration of Iowa State’s College of Agriculture and Life Sciences, the Iowa Soybean Association and industry partners. Together, representatives from ISA and the industry partners make up the ISRC’s Industry Advisory Council. Innvictis/Simplot is the center’s 11th industry partner, joining AMVAC, BASF, Bayer, Cornelius Seed, Corteva Agriscience, FMC, GDM, Merschman Seeds, Syngenta and UPL.
Innvictis Seed Solutions, founded in 2016, said its mission is to provide growers with corn and soybean products that exceed industry standards for quality. Innvictis products are distributed by Simplot, an international food and agriculture company based in Boise, Idaho. More than 11,000 employees run operations around the globe and distribute products to more than 60 countries worldwide.
The Iowa Soybean Research Center was established in 2014 by Iowa State University in partnership with the Iowa Soybean Association. The center was founded to increase soybean production and profitability for Iowa farmers through coordinated research efforts involving Iowa State, the Iowa Soybean Association and the private sector.
