PARKSIDE, SOUTH AUSTRALIA, AUSTRALIA — Phil Hughes has been named chief executive officer of Viterra, Australia and New Zealand (ANZ). He will succeed Tim Krause who will remain with Viterra until the end of December 2021 to ensure a smooth transition.
Previously general manager of trading for Viterra ANZ, Hughes has been working for Viterra for 15 years and has led our marketing activities across the region since 2014. Prior to this, Hughes also spent time at Viterra’s office in Singapore, managing our Asian marketing operations.
“His leadership in connecting growers to key domestic and export customers through our agriculture network, and high-quality control in our logistical supply chains through to customers, has been critical to Viterra’s success,” the company said.
After 13 years with the company, Krause has decided to retire from Viterra.
“Tim’s leadership skills have been a huge asset to our business, enabling a continued emphasis on quality and the highest level of service to our customers,” Viterra said. “His attention to safety and his genuine care for colleagues has inspired others and helped Viterra develop leading safety practices and behaviors that have since been implemented across our global network.”
