ARLINGTON, VIRGINIA, US — The National Grain and Feed Association (NGFA) has elected new officers and directors via a vote by active and affiliated association members on March 26.
JoAnn Brouillette, president and managing partner of Demeter LP in Fowler, Indiana, US, was reelected as chairman who will serve a one-year term. Other industry officers elected to one-year terms include:
- Greg Beck, senior vice president, grain division for CGB Enterprises in Covington, Louisiana, US, as first vice chairman
- Chris Boerm, president, Global Transportation for Archer Daniels Midland Co., Decatur, Illinois, US, as second chairman
A total of 12 new directors were elected to serve three-year terms on the NGFA’s board:
- Matt Ashton, chief executive officer of New Vision Cooperative, Brewster, Minnesota, US
- Augusto Bassanini, president and CEO of United Grain Corp., Vancouver, Washington, US
- Gary Beachner, president and CEO of Beachner Grain Inc., Parsons, Kansas, US
- Jeff Bechard, senior vice president of Grain for Central Valley Ag, York, Nebraska, US
- Jean Bratton, CEO of Centerra Cooperative, Ashland, Ohio, US
- Dawn Caldwell, head of government affairs for the Aurora Cooperative, Aurora, Nebraska, US
- Mark Cullen, senior vice president of feed and livestock for The Equity, Effingham, Illinois, US
- Chris Faust, managing director, North America and Country Manager USA for COFCO International Grains US LLC, Chicago, Illinois, US
- Tom Fernandes, director of commodity finance for Grain Service Corp., Atlanta, Georgia, US
- Brian Gier, vice president of sales for Purina Animal Nutrition, LLC, Land O’Lakes Inc., Arden Hills, Minnesota, US
- Bill Krueger, president of the trade and processing group for The Andersons, Overland Park, Kansas, US
- Mike Tate, director, origination North America, Bunge North America Inc., Chesterfield, Missouri, US
The NGFA consists of more than 1,000 grain, feed, processing, exporting and other grain-related companies that operate more than 7,000 facilities and handle more than 70% of all US grains and oilseeds. Its membership includes grain elevators; feed and feed ingredient manufacturers; biofuels companies; grain and oilseed processors and millers; exporters; livestock and poultry integrators; and associated firms that provide goods and services to the nation’s grain, feed and processing industry. The NGFA also consists of 33 affiliated state and regional grain and feed associations, and the NGFA is co-located and has an alliance with the North American Export Grain Association, and a strategic alliance with Pet Food Institute.
