NEW DEHLI, INDIA — Despite some weather challenges India’s soybean production remains steady for the 2020-21 marketing year, according to a Global Agricultural Information Network (GAIN) report from the US Department of Agriculture (USDA).

The USDA did increase production acreage to 12 million hectares from 11 million hectares but erratic weather conditions across the country will offset gains made on higher acreage.

High moisture and pest issues anticipated to impact soybean quality. The USDA expects supply for food and feed use to be tight, particularly for poultry feed.
