KYIV, UKRAINE — Ukraine is maintaining its forecast for 2020-21 wheat exports of 17.2 million tonnes, Reuters reported.
Traders had said in June that the government had proposed setting the wheat export limit at 17.2 million tonnes.
While the ministry did not offer an estimate for the wheat harvest, traders and analysts have predicted totals between 25 million and 27 million tonnes.
Last year, the nation harvested 28.3 million tonnes of wheat. As of Aug. 6, farmers had harvested 23.1 million tonnes from 87% of the sown area.
