KANSAS CITY, KANSAS, US — Hansen-Mueller Co., an Omaha, Nebraska, US-based company, has acquired a commercial grain elevator, known as the Katy Elevator, in Kansas City, Kansas.
The 4.25-million-bushel elevator has access to rail and truck routes.
“We are excited to add the Katy facility to our operations in the Kansas City metro,” said Josh Hansen, president at Hansen-Mueller. “This acquisition will expand our capacity to store and handle additional wheat and other commodities for our customers and trading partners.”
A family-owned company, Hansen-Mueller owns or operates approximately 24 facilities throughout 11 states, including three port locations, and five feed mills, in addition to its grain storage facilities.
