SÃO PAULO, BRAZIL — Brazil’s wheat stocks stand at 170,000 tonnes, the lowest in history, Reuters reported.
Imports into Brazil, mainly from Argentina, are expected to reach a previously unseen level of 7.3 million tonnes in 2020.
The global coronavirus (COVID-19) pandemic has increased the domestic demand for bread and other flour-based products, Reuters said.
