SHEFFIELD, IOWA, US — Tom Mangan has joined Sukup Manufacturing Co. as chief financial officer.
The change comes as Steve Sukup officially stepped into his new role as president and chief executive officer from his prior role as vice president and CFO of Sukup.
“We felt Tom was an excellent fit due to his deep experience with financial controls and background with a family-owned company,” Steve Sukup said. “We look forward to having him join us in our mission to manufacture the highest quality grain storage and handling equipment for farmers and the agriculture industry.”
Mangan is a certified public accountant, and most recently worked in finance and accounting at Fareway Stores, Inc. His previous experience was with family-owned Endicott Clay Products and Deloitte Tax LLP. He has both a bachelor of science and master of accounting from Iowa State University.

Sukup Manufacturing Co. has grown to be one of the largest family owned and operated grain storage, drying and handling manufacturer in the world.
Third-generation family members in management roles at Sukup Manufacturing Co. include: Emily Schmitt, general counsel; Andy Schmitt, supply chain manager; and Matt Koch, senior electrical engineer. Nick Sukup works with the Manly steel facility, and Andrew Sukup holds a production role at the company. Mary Sukup, co-founder of the company, is corporate secretary. Charles Sukup, second generation and former president, is chairman of the board.
“Being family-owned and operated shapes our culture at Sukup, and that cultural fit was an important element as we looked to hire a CFO,” Schmitt said.
The company is headquartered in Sheffield, Iowa, US, and covers one million square feet of office, manufacturing and warehouse space. The company employs more than 600 people.
