CHICAGO, ILLLINOIS, U.S. — Agricultural volume for the CME Group in September was down 8% year on year with 1.16 million contracts traded per day, according to the CME.
Among the agricultural commodities that saw increased trading year on year were soybean futures, which increased by 4% to 172,000 contracts.
Hard Red Winter Wheat futures increased by 1% to 40,000 contracts per day.
Third-quarter agricultural average daily volume was 1.32 million contracts, down 2% from the third quarter 2018.
