AMSTERDAM, NETHERLANDS — Stephane Bernhard has been named global head trader for exchange traded commodities at Export Trading Group, an African-based agribusiness company. Bernhard will join the company in October.
“I am very honored to join one of Africa’s largest agricultural conglomerates and a great group of like-minded people,” Bernhard noted in a posting on his Linkedin page. “I look forward to bring(ing) my experience and my energy to this exciting project.”
Bernhard most recently was managing director of InVivo trading at Groupe InVivo for the past five-and-a-half years. He earlier was a founding partner of three different companies: Ibericafe, Forecastis, and BG Amethyst Capital LLC. He began his career with Louis Dreyfus Co., where he spent four years as a grains and freight trader in Hamburg, Germany, and Paris, France, and nine years as a managing director in Spain and Portugal.
He received a bachelor’s degree in finance from the European Business School Paris.
