ZAPORIZHIA, UKRAINE — Nibulon’s newly-built Ternivska branch in the Vilniansk district of Ukraine opened two months ago and since has received 95,000 tonnes of grain from local farmers.
The facility loads grain onto water transport and it is then delivered to Nibulon’s sea terminal in Mykolaiv, Ukraine, or directly to the outer roads. The terminal already has loaded 24 Nibulon’s non-self-propelled vessels in one month, having transported 34,000 tonnes of grain crops by the Ukrainian waterways.
Since the facility’s capacity allows it to receive 300,000 tonnes of grain annually, more than 12,500 thousand trucks will be removed from roads every year. According to Nibulon, each tonne of product transported by water saves state funds on road repairs.
