ARLINGTON, VIRGINIA, U.S. — The American Feed Industry Association’s (AFIA) Equipment Manufacturers Conference will focus on feed manufacturing trends and will be held Nov. 6-8 in Marco Island, Florida, U.S.
The event will be hosted by AFIA’s Equipment Manufacturers Committee and focus on updating the equipment sector of the feed industry on current issues and trends, providing an environment for learning from educational speakers and industry leaders, and bringing the industry together to network.
“The Equipment Manufacturers Committee addresses many issues pertinent to today’s equipment designers, builders and installers who serve the feed, pet food and ingredient industries,” said Gary Huddleston, director of feed manufacturing and regulatory affairs for the AFIA. “The conference offers a unique opportunity for networking and education on issues and trends relevant to their segment of the industry.”
Themed, “What’s Next: Operating Today for the Future,” the three-day event will begin with the annual golf tournament, which raises money for the Institute for Feed Education and Research’s EMC scholarship fund, a program designed to encourage college students to consider careers in the feed or grain sciences.
Educational programs at the conference will include an update on policy issues being discussed in Washington, D.C., U.S., a panel discussion on fixed ladder requirements, best legal practices for human resources, a keynote address on how to break boundaries for operating excellence and more.
Early-bird registration runs through Oct. 4, with a discounted rate of $720 for AFIA members and $1,415 for non-members. Register and view more information on the event’s website
