RICHMOND, VIRGINIA, U.S. — Virginia Governor Ralph Northam has reappointed Mennel Milling Co.’s Candice Wilson to the Virginia Small Grains Board.
Members are appointed by the Governor of Virginia to manage and approve expenditures of the Virginia Small Grains Funds established in the state treasury. Check-off dollars are funded to programs designed to improve profit potential in growing small grains in Virginia through market development, promotion, education, publicity and research projects.
“It is an honor to be selected to serve for another term on the Virginia Small Grains Board,” said Wilson, office manager of Old Dominion Grain, a division of the Mennel Milling Co. “I am looking forward to continuing to work with the board and supporting members of our agricultural community as we bring added value to small grains grown in Virginia.”
Wilson serves as processor and represents the grain industry on the Virginia Small Grains Board. She is the office manager at Mennel’s Old Dominion Grain in West Point, Virginia, U.S., where she has worked for more than seven years.
