ANKARA, TUREKY — The International Association of Millers (IAOM) and the International Association for Cereal Science and Technology (ICC) are hosting the IAOM Eurasia workshop geared toward flour producers and industry stakeholders.
It will be held April 23-25 as a pre-conference workshop to the 15th International Congress and Expo of Turkish Flour Industrialists’ Federation(TFIF).
The IAOM Eurasia region workshop is an educational event for grain milling, milling machinery sector and laboratory and food ingredient professionals. The event gathers milling and other professionals from around the world for two days of education and networking.
The workshop will focus on the structure and milling properties of wheat grain, flour quality and meeting the market demands, determination of wheat and flour quality in the laboratory, storage, wheat cleaning equipment and principles of separation, crushing system, sieving system and selection of the correct sieve, control of mill pests, residues, smears and mycotoxins, flour developers, thinning system and sieving and semolina cleaning systems.
Dr. Hamit Köksel, president of the ICC and lecturer in Hacettepe University, Dr. Mehmet Sertaç Özer, lecturer in Çukurova University and Dr. Jeff Gwirtz, president of JAG Services and lecturer at Kansas State University, are set to manage the workshop and conduct trainings.
