VALLEJUELO, DOMINICAN REPUBLIC — The President of the Dominican Republic, Danilo Medina, inaugurated a SUNCUE seed and food drying plant in Vallejuelo.
The facility has the capacity to dry 24,000 quintals of onion monthly, 24,000 quintals of corn in cob, 16,000 quintals of grain and beans and 27,000 quintals of beans in pods.
According to SUNCUE, the facility will protect harvest prices of 1,500 small, medium producers partnered with cooperative groups and producer associations.
