OMAHA, NEBRASKA, U.S. — Derek Farmer will join the Scoular Co. as director of operational safety, effective March 4. He will report to Glen Hofbauer, vice-president of Scoular.
Farmer most recently was the environmental health safety and security manager for engineering firm Arconic in Washington, Missouri, U.S.

In addition to his experience at Arconic, Farmer held safety-related positions with a number of companies, including Lansing Trade Group and Cargill, for which he was responsible for overseeing the safety of several grain elevator and processing operations.
Farmer has a bachelor’s degree in occupational safety and health from Southeastern Oklahoma State University and is working toward a master’s degree in business administration from the University of Missouri-St. Louis.
