CHICAGO, ILLINOIS, U.S. — Archer Daniels Midland Co. has closed its grain elevator in Edgewood, Illinois, U.S. The facility had capacity of 853,000 bushels, according to the 2019 Grain & Milling Annual. “We determined that we would be able to better serve our customers in the area through our facility in Farina (Illinois), which is just eight miles away,” said Jackie Anderson, a spokesperson for ADM. “We added substantial uploading and storage capacity to that facility within the last year.” The Farina grain elevator has 4,577,517 bushels of capacity, according to the GMA.
