THE NETHERLANDS — The Victam Foundation and Wageningen University are hosting the first International Feed Technology Conference (IFTC) June 12-13, 2019, in Cologne, Germany. The conference will take place during VICTAM International 2019.
The International Feed Technology Conference will give attendees from universities, the animal feed industry as well as international researchers the opportunity to network and exchange knowledge to share technical and scientific developments in the fields of animal feed technology and to discuss research results.
The IFTC is currently accepting speaker proposals with a deadline of April 15, 2019. Contributions can be in the form of full presentations (30 minutes), short communications (10 minutes) or poster presentations.
Scientific contributions will be published, after peer review, as full papers or expanded abstracts in a special issue of the journal Animal Feed Science & Technology.
The congress will see thematic presentations by international speakers as well as oral and poster presentations. The three themes are:
- Valorization of raw materials by technology.
- Keynote speaker: Prof. Jürgen Zentek, Berlin University, Germany
- Process developments
- Keynote speaker: Dr. Menno Thomas, Wageningen University, The Netherlands
- Interaction between feed formulation and technology
- Keynote speaker: Prof. Hans Stein, University of Illinois, U.S.
The organization’s goal is for the feed technology conference to serve as a medium to enhance the cooperation between industry and universities to create innovative projects and collaborations.
