CLINTON, WISCONSIN, U.S. — The DeLong Co., Inc., which supplies food grains across the world as well as seed, fertilizer and chemical inputs and services to growers in Wisconsin and Illinois, has acquired the grain operations of Demeter LP and Seegers. Financial terms of the transaction were not disclosed.
Under terms of the agreement, DeLong will assume all of Demeter LP and Seeger’s grain contracts and storage obligations.
“We are excited to add these operations to our current group of grain facilities and we will continue to provide customers with the high standard of service that they are accustomed to from Demeter and Seegers,” DeLong said.
Founded in 1929, DeLong operates 24 facilities and offices in Wisconsin, Illinois, Florida, Kansas, Nebraska, New Jersey, New York and Ohio. The company is a top exporter of containerized agricultural exports.
Based in Fowler, Indiana, U.S., Demeter LP began as a family grain business in 1944. The company operates grain facilities and has expanded into the business of commercial warehousing. Seegers Grain, Inc. is based in Crystal Lake, Illinois, U.S.
