HEMINGFORD, NEBRASKA, U.S. — Farmer’s Cooperative Elevator Co. recently announced the expansion of its grain storage capacity at its facility in Hemingford, Nebraska, U.S.
The company said it will build a grain storage silo adjacent to the East Elevator in Hemingford.
The silo will be concrete jump-form construction and have a capacity of approximately 919,000 bushels. Storage capacity at the site will nearly double when construction is completed, Farmer’s Cooperative said.
The company said the expansion will decrease the risk associated with piling grain on the ground in temporary storage.
The company said the project is scheduled to be completed by July 1.
