GOLDEN VALLEY, MINNESOTA, U.S. — Registration is open until Sept. 5 for the online course GEAPS 620: Grain Receiving, Cleaning and Conditioning.
This GEAPS/Kansas State University Distance Education Program covers each step of the milling process in detail.
The first half of the course focuses on receiving, handling, storage and blending, including mitigating mold and controlling pests. The second half focuses on wheat separation and cleaning while comparing conditioning versus tempering.
The course also can apply toward an industry credential. GEAPS 620 is one of six courses required for the Credential in Grain Processing Management (CGPM).
The course runs from Sept. 11-Oct. 13 and costs $700 for GEAPS members and $965 for non-members.
