ROCHESTER, CENTRAL VICTORIA, AUSTRALIA — GrainCorp is expanding its grain silo art series in Rochester, Central Victoria, Australia. The newest project is a joint effort between GrainCorp and Rochester Business Network and the local community.
“We are delighted to provide the silos as the massive canvas project,” said Peter Johnson, GrainCorp’s Victorian regional manager. “As we have seen across Victoria, grain silos have a special place in many communities and by creating works of art on them, we have given them, and hopefully the community, a new energy.”
Dvate, a street artist, has been chosen by the Rochester community to create the mural. Painting is due to start this weekend and is expected to take one month to complete.
Glenda Nichol, president of the Rochester Business Network, said, “We are so very excited. Anything that is good for our town we are thrilled to be part off. We hope the silos will provide another reason for travelers to stop in town and explore the part of Victoria. We are excited Rochester is joining the GrainCorp Silo Art Trail.”
