OTTAWA, ONTARIO, CANADA — Members of the Canadian grain, oilseed, pulse and special crop value chain gathered in Ottawa, Ontario, Canada, for the three-day Canadian Crops Convention.
This was the first in-person event since 2020 due to the COVID-19 pandemic. Close to 300 people attended. In their presentations, speakers addressed the conference theme of “Strategies for a Changing World.”
LOWELL, MICHIGAN, US — King Milling Co., Michigan’s largest flour miller, on April 10 celebrated the completion of the latest expansion of its flour milling complex. The $47 million project, which began in 2022 and was completed this winter, involved erecting the mill as well as two slipform concrete wheat storage bins that are attached to it. SALT LAKE CITY, UTAH, US — Millers, suppliers and allied industries from across the globe gathered for the 128th International Association of Operative Millers (IAOM) Conference & Expo from April 15-19 in Salt Lake City. From the opening reception through the awards banquet, attendees were treated to connections, education, equipment and celebrations of the milling industry.
